Overview

Java programming language was originally developed by Sun Microsystems which was initiated by James Gosling and released in 1995 as core component of Sun Microsystems' Java platform.

The latest release of the Java Standard Edition is Java SE 8. With the advancement of Java and its widespread popularity, multiple configurations were built to suit various types of platforms. For example: J2EE for Enterprise Applications, J2ME for Mobile Applications.

OOPS Concepts

Object means a real word entity such as pen, chair, table etc. Object-Oriented Programming is a methodology or paradigm to design a program using classes and objects.

It simplifies the software development and maintenance by providing some concepts.

J2EE

Java Enterprise Edition is a standard for developing applications based on enterprise softwares. Java Platform, Enterprise Edition or Java EE is an enterprise computing platform on Java from Oracle.

Nowadays Java EE comes up with rich enterprise software platform and provides lot of implementations. There is lot of JSR (Java Specification Requests) that’s been submitted.
